The questions: - how to read a train timetable using the 24 hour clock and how to work out the duration of the journey - how to work out the average speed of the journey - how to work out the average speed of a multi-stage journey, such as going by plane, using calculations and using a distance-time graph. - how to work out petrol consumption involving litres, gallons, miles and money There's a final question about the effect of reducing motorway speed limits on traffic flow which we leave to your students to work out.\n
