He got there by leveraging influence from across the world. Most important to his early success was the proliferation of a new breed of internet music blog. These are groups like Majestic Casual or Soulection — outlets that operate more like collectives than promotional hubs. The artists that get posted on these channels are informed by a global aesthetic that's only made possible by the internet.
