This video looks at key ideas that emerged from the Enlightenment that influenced the world, also the style that many of the Enlightenment thinkers wrote in which was markedly different from what had come before them with a greater focus on being engaging. One of the biggest changes as a result of the Enlightenment was in America where philosophy from the Enlightenment inspired the American revolution and the framing of the United States Constitution, which were heavily influenced by Enlightenment thinkers. Some of the Enlightenment thinkers called the Physiocrats focus specifically on the economy and prosperity and it was this emphasis on progression which made them Enlightenment thinkers.
