Though looking at Austria now you wouldn't know it, but how Austria fell apart is another story, today we're looking at the time Austria almost fell apart but didn't thanks to Maria Theresa (along with, y'know, her generals and administration and stuff). We've got a World War before World Wars were cool, we've got Cold War-esque meddling in other countries' affairs before that was cool, we've got Carolus Rex who's always been cool, so come on down! Oh yeah and we've got Frederick the Great making Maria's life complicated. A lot of that, actually. And for those of you who are studying for AP Euro, that means we've got the War of Polish Succession, the Pragmatic Sanction, the War of Austrian Succession, the Diplomatic Revolution, and the big bad Seven Years War. God I love it when a video is actually relevant for once.
