This one is Rumpelstilzchen by the Brothers Grimm. In this story a woman is basically forced to marry some dude who only likes her because her father told the guy that she had magical powers and could make him rich beyond his wildest dreams. Before he even knew whether or not she could do the magic her father claimed she could, he threatens to kill her if she can't do it, as if performing for the king wasn't bad enough. When she can't do it, she starts crying. Then some super creepy tiny man shows up and offers to do the magic for her. Of course she agrees. It only costs her some gold the first two times. Then the creepy dude asks for her first born kid. I thought that was just supposed to be a cliché. She didn't really know what else to do so she agrees to give the creepy dude her kid. Then when the creepy dude shows up to collect, she tries to get out of the deal by crying more (which is how she got into this mess in the first place). Eventually she wins from some random stroke of luck and she lives happily every after with her extremely controlling, masochistic, abusive husband. The End.
