Mental skills training is very important for athletes of all ages, and training the mind takes time. Mental training for baseball players especially can yield big benefits, as there is lots of time between plays to think negative thoughts and detract from fluid athletic actions. Softball, golf, and many other sports also have huge time-gaps where negative self-talk floods in.\n
