Alan Spicer has been making content for YouTube since 2012 and is a YouTube Certified expert for Channel Growth, Content Copyright and Asset Monetization. Over the last 12 months he has also published nearly 200 YouTube Tutorials to help budding YouTubers get started and here are his top 4 tips. 1 - Pick A Niche - It is important to know what you want to talk about and love it enough to want to talk about every tiny detail about that topic.... because you will need to! Once you know the niche you want to talk about you can then research the existing video creators on the platform to learn the style, branding and content length needed to match the market expectations. Once you know what if needs to look and sound like you can start cranking out evergreen FAQs videos to get your name known in the niche itself. 2 - Consistency - Being consistent with branding, style and content topics helps people get used to who you are and when you upload. You want people to get so used to their routine that they can integrate it into their own daily routine just like their favourite tv show and sports team. 3 - Video Optimization - You should always think about how a video or any piece of content is going to be found in search. When writing a video title, description and tags you need to be thinking keywords and search engine optimization. 4 - Keep Learning and Improving - You can always improve, you can always learn to get better. Take some time out of your shedule to look at other YouTube channels in your niche. What do you do that would help your videos improve? Is their anything you coul do better with your own content? Is your audio the best it could be? Do you need to up your camera game? Is your lighting crisp and clean?
