You see these especially for informative presentations. A good preview statement should be:

1. Brief. Concise phrases or even single words for each main point is better than using full sentences to describe each main point.

2. Pause between main points. This makes it really clear that your brief list is indeed a list of separate main points.

3. Go directly from your preview to the first main point in the body of the presentation. Don't use any filler or tangents. This will confuse listeners. \n
