In the case of an algebraic proof the statement will be the operations used to solve an algebraic equation and the reason will be basic algebraic properties such as transitive property, symmetric property, associative property, subtraction property of equality, addition property of equality, multiplication property of equality, division property of equality, and substitution property. Every operation we use when solving algebraic equations is from an algebraic property.
