You are most likely aware that the topic of technology comes up very often on the IELTS Exam.

That’s why, recently, I did a video about specific vocabulary related to apps, especially those on your mobile devices.

This vocabulary comes in handy in Speaking Part 1, with questions about what apps you use.

In Part 2, you may be asked about a time you were thankful to have your phone, a time you forgot or lost your phone, or, perhaps, a description of receiving your first mobile.

IELTS Part 3 questions are more abstract, and you should express opinions about society at large, not just personal examples.

However, you can always support these opinions with personal anecdotes or observations.

Today, I’ll answer these IELTS Speaking Part 3 questions:

Do people spend too much time on phones or devices these days?

Are there negative consequences of this trend?

How can we limit people's’ time on their devices?

As you watch the video, take notes on any interesting vocabulary that you hear.

Then, answer these questions yourself, out loud, focusing on providing strong opinions and using higher level phrases and transitions.\n
