In order to get a 7 or higher for vocabulary, you have to show the examiner interesting, idiomatic language.

This means that you cannot use the same vocabulary as every other student who has worked through an IELTS textbook or gone through an IELTS prep class.

You need to present the examiner with something different, something unique. So, for example, instead of saying increase, you could say skyrocket impressively.

Instead of saying reach a peak, say hit an apex.

For Change Over Time graphs, you need interesting synonyms for increase and decrease.
For Static graphs, you need interesting synonyms for highest and lowest.

For map questions you need interesting words and phrases to describe locations.\n
