We will learn that a composite figure is a figure that is composed of two or more two-dimensional figures. In this problem, we will divide the composite figure into two rectangles. We will use the labeled diagram to find the measure of each side of the rectangle. The area of a rectangle is found by multiply base times height or length times width. We will multiply the sides of each rectangle to find the area of each. We will add the two areas together and determine the correct solution from our multiple choice answers. An exemplar solution is provided.\n
