I don’t like scaly reptiles, So please just let it go!” My mommy loved the gator, (it’s so cute) But daddy feared its bite, (That hurts) My daddy said, “I’m leaving,” (I’m gone) Mom kept it overnight… Reptile, reptile What I heard, You’re not a mammal, or a fish, or a bird, You hatch from eggs, Herpetologists say, You might be in water, Or on land each day... Reptile, Reptile, You got style, Snake, turtle lizard, Alligator, crocodile… Reptile, Reptile, You got style, Snake, turtle lizard, Alligator, crocodile… My mother kept it happy, Basking in the sun, To warm it’s cold-cold blood, It used our pool for fun! My father wouldn’t jump in, (NO WAY) He feared the alligator, Every time he saw it, He said, “I’ll be swimming later!” (when it’s safe) Reptiles, reptiles, Always give me thrills Breathe with lungs, they never got gills They’re vertebrates, They got a spine, They make mommy happy almost all the time, Reptile, Reptile, You got style, Snake, turtle lizard, Alligator, crocodile… Reptile, Reptile, You got style, Snake, turtle lizard, Alligator, crocodile… My mother trained it well, (Good Boy) It learned to tie my shoe, But then it grew too big, We gave it to the zoo!
