This educational craft for math activity clearly shows the representation of addition, and it makes finding results fun for children.⠀

MATERIALS:⠀
- Coloured paper⠀
- Pencil⠀
- Scissors⠀
- Glue⠀
- Ruler⠀
- Box Cutter⠀

INSTRUCTIONS:⠀
(1) Draw a top of a tree and the trunk. Cut out the shapes with the scissors.⠀
(2) Glue down the leaves onto the plain white piece of paper.⠀
(3) Draw a 2cm vertical line on the bottom left of the tree trunk. Go up a centimetre, and draw another line. Repeat again, so you have 3 lines on the left. Repeat on the right. You should have 6 lines in total, 3 sets of 2. ⠀
(4) On a surface that's safe to cut on, use the box cutter to cut out the lines. Glue down only the top third of the tree trunk. ⠀
(5) Taking the strips of paper, thread them through the notches we made, so the paper strip peaks through the middle of our trunk. Be sure to crease the ends to make tabs, so they don't slide out! ⠀
(6) Glue 1cm paper squares of paper onto the trunk, in-between our sliding ones. Write \"+\" on one, and then \"=\" sign on the other.⠀
(7) Using the pull tabs, write the number 1-5 on the top two sliders, and then 1-10 on the bottom one. ⠀
(8) Cut the red paper into 10 small circular apples for your tree. As you do the math, you can add apples to the tree and count them.\n
