A Great Literary Concept

Young scholars read parts of Emerson's and Thoreau's works. They discuss and study the concept of Transcendentalism. Students find passages from both authors' works that show that the authors understand or use the concepts of Transcendentalism. Young scholars will write a paper that analyzes the way each author presents his understanding of Transcendentalism.
