A "Normal" Explosion

Students explore the concept of derivatives.  In this derivatives lesson, students find normal lines of functions in reference to a NUM3ERS episode about mail bombs.  Students use graphing calculators to enter data into tables, graph tangent lines, slope lines, and normal lines.  Students find derivatives of quadratic functions.
