Take a look at the fantasy genre in this second instructional activity for A Wizard of Earthsea by Ursula K. Le Guin. Pupils read about fantasy and explore books that fit into the genre. They then discuss the relationship between fantasy and realistic fiction. Next, allow individuals some time to compose a few paragraphs about a favorite fantasy book. Homework is also included. Tip: For the discussion, put together a Venn diagram to compare fantasy and realistic fiction.
