Aaaa! A Baby's Crying

Students study the /a/ phoneme in written and spoken words. They identify the sound in words by imitating a baby's cry before reciting a tongue twister. They write the letter and listen to Dr. Seuss's, "Cat in the Hat" while raising their hands each time they hear an /a/ word. As an assessment, they complete a picture page worksheet.
