American Indians of the Local Region

Young scholars examine the role of the Native American in their region in the past. They identify their national identities and their religious beliefs and customs. Using physical geography, they discover how climate changed the way they adapted to the environment. They explore the different types of economy and systems of government. They discuss how they got along with new settlers.
