An American Landmark

Sixth graders choose a landmark and access at least two pieces of information per topic, regarding its location, physical characteristics, history, and the impact the landmark had on individuals and society as a whole in the past, present, and future. For this American Landmark lesson, 6th graders use a graphic organizer to organize and record their facts that will be used in the future to write their Civic Oration speech.

Jessica H.
Lesson Planet has been a lifesaver for me, especially when I am in a time crunch and need a resource quickly. While I consider myself a very creative person, sometimes I need to utilize the great ideas of fellow teachers to get my creative juices flowing. Lesson Planet has been pivotal in this regard.
