Attention: Baby's Sleeping
Learners examine blending sounds together while studying the /sh/ sound comparing it what they would say if a baby was sleeping. Next, they work with a tongue twister, use their Elkonin boxes and letters to make /sh/ words, and read the "Shoe Man." While reading they write down the words with the /sh/ sound. Finally, they identify /sh/ words in Dr. Seuss', Cat in the Hat book.
