"Bad" Poetry: Mainly the Bad and Ugly . . . Is There Any Good in It?

“Who put the bomp in the bomp-ba-bomp-ba-bomp?/Who put the ram in the ramma-lamma-ding-dong?" Vogon poetry may be “the third worst poetry in the Universe,” but doggerel and crambo run a close fourth and fifth. Viewers are introduced to types of poetry with little literary value in a presentation that is short on examples; however, if augmented with pieces by Ogden Nash and Steve Allen, it could be used as a prompt for writing.
