Barbie Bungee

Students simulate a bungee jumping activity using a Barbie doll and rubber bands to examine linear functions. They collect data as they decide how many rubber bands to are needed for Barbie to jump safely from a given distance. They generate a scatterplot to determine the line of best fit. Finally, they answer the key question and demonstrate that their solutions work.

Arin C.
It is very easy to quickly search a topic and get ideas from some of the lesson plans. For my student teaching seminar, we were required to share a web site that we have found helpful with the class. My professors, new and veteran teachers alike were all amazed by the resources provided by Lesson Planet and the ease in which they were obtained.
