Learners read and analyze stories. Given a list of literary elements, students identify the character, plot, setting, theme and conflict. As learners summarize the story, they include examples such as foreshadowing, metaphors, personification and alliteration. Students choose one fiction and one nonfiction literary work and create a bookmark for each.
