Students examine the /ch/ digraph in both written and spoken words. They listen to words and recite a tongue twister that contains a number of /ch/ words. Next, they make words using Elkonin letterboxes and letters. While listening to a read aloud of Jeff Kindley's, "Choco-Louie," they lift up a chocolate chip cookie each time they hear a /ch/ word. As an assessment, they complete a worksheet.
