You probably know that El Niño has something to do with weather — and drastic changes — all over the United States. Through the activity, learners research and compare normal Pacific Ocean conditions to those during both El Niño and La Niña.

  • Use as a tool after teaching El Niño or La Niña to assess learner understanding of concepts taught
  • Post potential websites on the board for learners to use so they don't waste class time looking for appropriate sites
