Charlie Needs a Cloak

Second graders receive a piece of wool yarn. They describe the yarn's color, size, texture, and shape. Students use magnifying lenses to observe the yarn. They read the book "Charlie Needs a Cloak." Students use "production verb cards to think about the steps Charlie followed to produce his red cloak. Students create a "Production book" for the book, and use wool yarn to trim the front cover.
