Checking on Stereotypes

Young scholars discuss stereotypes and ways to eliminate them. In this civics lesson, students write down a stereotype they have heard about themselves or someone they know. The cards are then shuffled and a few are read aloud. Young scholars discuss how it would feel to be stereotyped in that way and share ways to eliminate stereotyping.
