China in Revolution 1911-1949(Part 9/10)

As the bombing of Japan brings World War II to a close, civil war breaks out between Chiang Kai ShekÕs forces and those of Mao Zedong, between the prosperous and the poor. Both leaders are beset with internal troubles as well. ChiangÕs family is accused of embezzlement while MaoÕs land reform policies lead to mob rule. Part nine concludes with the American decision to support Chiang in the conflict.
