Chuukese Dinner

Students read journal entries about eating with a Chuukese family. Using that information, they discuss which foods sound appealing and compare and contrast the Micronesian and American staples, fruits and vegetables. In groups, they prepare a dish in class and discuss which American foods could be used as substitutes.
