Clapping It Out

Students practice counting the number of syllables in words. They are that you have some words in your head and you have to clap them out. Students are explained that you are going to divide the words into syllables or sound parts. They are told that they are going to come up one by one to read the words and the class is going to listen for the number of syllables in each word.
