While the goal of this exercise is to punctuate properly, students will also need to know about clauses, interjections, phrases, etc., and show some creativity. Given prompts, individuals must compose sentences that meet the requirements for each prompt. All of the sentences involve introductory elements, and some involve alien planets, cow tipping, and cheese. Learners will have a chance to practice grammar and humor simultaneously.
- These are not typical grammar sentences; they contain humor and creativity that will engage learners
- The exercise is actually quite complex, so some might need additional scaffolding and instruction
