Commemoration: Making Statuettes of Famous Canadians

Students draw the human face. They observe and discuss examples of symmetry in the classroom and on the human body and, in particularly faces. Students look at the geometric shapes that make up the human face, such as the ovid or egg shape of the head, the almond shapes of the eyes and the triangluar shape of the nose.

Carol G.
I just transferred mid-year to an art teacher position; it has been more than 15 years since I taught art. I needed some quick ideas to get started. Thank you Lesson Planet!
