Compare and Convert Customary Units of Length

If you know how many inches are in a foot, can you convert six feet to the correct number of inches?  This is the type of question looked at in this video.  First, the instructor reviews the area model for multiplication, friendly multiples for division, and the basic features in a ruler. She then goes through three examples: feet to inches, feet to yards, and yards to inches. In each example, she sets up a conversion chart and fills in the columns until the correct answer found.
