Conducting a Community Survey

Middle schoolers design and conduct a survey to gather input from a variety of stakeholders on a particular community issue. They create a method for tabulating survey results. Pupils display tallied responses in graphic form. Students compare survey responses based on respondent's ages and length of residency in the community. They identify stakeholders who should participate in decisionmaking on various community issues.
