This would work best as an individual assessment on place value. Using hypothetical counting cubes, present several scenarios to individual learners. These scenarios are written out for you, and present a "what if" question about the cubes. For example, "What if I had three tens and zero ones?" Continue with all six questions, challenging learners to say the number of cubes you would have in each situation.  It includes a checklist to keep track of student progress.
