Learn by doing in this counting activity! During transition time, announce various groupings to get learners counting out 1-20. Ask a specific number of students (consider holding up a number card or writing the number on the board) to line up for lunch, sit on the rug, go to their desks, etc. A chosen scholar or pair count to make sure the group is the correct size. Considerations are provided, suggesting you watch how learners count. A data collection chart is also available to track progress.
