Covering Up! Surface Area Take Home Activity

Learners apply the formulas for surface area of three-dimensional shapes (cones and rectangular prisms) to find how much paint is needed to cover a wall, and how much fabric is needed to cover a bed. They complete a bonus activity in which they figure how much paint is needed to decorate a cone-shaped hat for a party. Two problems are presented, along with the bonus question.
