A brief activity on the effect of adjectives in advertising, the lesson provided here could work well as an introduction to persuasion. After a review on types of adjectives, pairs examine menus from local restaurants, marking down examples of adjective from the menu on a separate sheet of paper. Then, they come up with their own descriptive foods. Share out ideas at the end of class for great examples and a few laughs. The worksheet mentioned in the lesson is not included.
