Dancing Around the World

Students discuss folk dances they know as well as reasons to dance. They work in small groups to cut illustrations of people dancing from magazines. Students create a collage of the pictures they find. They display their collages and discus the different reasons people are dancing. Students compare the illustrations with the list they generated at the beginning of class.

Jonathan M.
When I am trying to find an alternative lesson from my norm, I try Lesson Planet, and always find a lesson that I can use. Sometimes a different perspective from a colleague can be that "point" that will work for that concept. I really feel that Lesson Planet is very well organized and easy to use. Thank you so much Lesson Planet for your help in my classroom.
