Democracy as a Value

Students compare and contrast the democratic values of the China and the United States. In this political systems lesson, students discuss American democratic values and practices. Students then read a newspaper article regarding democratic values and practices in China. Students discuss comprehension and inference questions that require them to compare the political systems in each country.
