Democracy as a Value

Young scholars compare and contrast the democratic values of the China and the United States. In this political systems instructional activity, students discuss American democratic values and practices. Young scholars then read a newspaper article regarding democratic values and practices in China. Students discuss comprehension and inference questions that require them to compare the political systems in each country.
