Examining the work of a master poet can help learners figure out how to strengthen and build their own work. The video, part of a series on writing a poem in response to "The Wind's Visit" by Emily Dickinson, analyzes the model poem closely to determine how the author structures and sequences the event in the poem. In the video, there is no actual development of an event sequence for the writing assignment. Class members will need to brainstorm on their own. Note: The speaker has a soft and calming voice.
