Dow Jones Breaks 12,000

Students read an article about the Dow Jones Industrial Average breaking a record. As a class, they develop a definition for ownership and discuss whether alot of people can share ownership in one thing. In a blog, they write what they believe the word value means and make a list of characteristics of an object that gives it value. To end the class, they discover if the Dow Jones Industrial Average is a good day to measure the strength of the economy.
