In case of earthquake, go to a safe place before posting on social media. The unit includes 12 lessons, most with hands-on activities or experiments. The first six lessons cover the physical process of earthquakes and volcanoes. Lessons 7 through 11 use a tabletop exercise to cover the hazards associated with earthquakes and how to mitigate the damage. The resource tells scholars a story before they make decisions and evaluate the information as it is being told. After the discussion, they complete an experiment related to the topic. The final lesson summarizes learning through storytelling.
