Effects of pH Changes on Aquatic Plants and Animals

Young scientists review the pH ranges that support a variety of water-dwellers. They measure the pH of various household liquids and then consider whether or not the organisms could survive in such liquids. This simple activity could be valuable for practice using pH indicators and could also be used in a biology of life science class when studying the needs of living things.
