Electrochemical Cells

Students investigate chemical changes that produce electricity. In this electrochemical cells instructional activity, students observe an electrochemical cell set up using a solution of copper sulfate and zinc sulfate and they measure the voltage and observe the chemical changes produced. They substitute the zinc sulfate with other metal solutions and record the voltage differences and changes in the beakers.
