Emergency Preparedness for Older Adults

Students examine methods needed to survive in case of an emergency. They prepare meals that require no cooking, examine what is necessary for an evacuation bag, identify shut-off valves for utilities, and develop emergency contact lists. They review an emergency readiness checklist and create a personal emergency plan.

Sabrina F.
I have been able to find a variety of resources to meet a variety of needs. As a special ed teacher I need to continually find new ways of presenting the material and Lesson Planet always has many great ideas that have worked wonderfully in my classroom. It's especially great when I need to make a last minute change to a lesson!
