Epitaphs are an excellent structure for writing facts about historical figures from the Revolutionary War. Inscribing these facts on a gray sheet of construction paper cut into the shape of a tombstone creates interest. Adding pictures found when researching or drawing illustrations brings a visual element to this expository writing piece that can double as a creative classroom display.

Christine K.
Lesson Planet is a phenomenal resource for finding new ideas and lessons for the classroom. What makes Lesson Planet so unique is that many of the lessons found are complete with worksheets, detailed instructions, and they are aligned to content standards. It is the only lesson resource that I gladly pay for, and it is worth every penny!
