Europe and Japan in Ruins

In this post World War II learning exercise, students make notes on the affects of the war on Europe and Japan, respectively. Topics include the land and people of Europe, political issues, the Holocaust, bombing raids on Japan, U.S. occupation of Japan, and Japan's new constitution. Students then explain the objectives of the Nuremberg Trials and demilitarization of Japan.
