Evaluating Information: Focus on Election 2004

Analyze what happens when two sources provide conflicting information with this lesson about the 2004 Presidential election. After viewing and discuss ads from the  campaign, middle and high schoolers view the website "factcheck," a non-partisan organization that monitors the accuracy of public political discourse. They use this web site to check the truth of the ads and brainstorm other ways to find information they need that is not included on the website.
